My Biography

Name: Dylan
Gender: Male
Location:  USA, New York
About me you say?

Well, where to begin. I'm like every other teenager on the planet, going through an identity crisis, living life through all its dramas. So you ask me, who am I, well I'm not even sure myself. But I know that I have always possessed a love for food, especially baking. Even through the ups and downs of life, foods grasp on me, waxing and waning, is still a part of me.

I have been cooking and baking since middle school and, over time, have gone through a lot of diets and ways of cooking, now resting at Gluten Free. My brother was diagnosed with Celiac Disease around 2001 and from then on my family has been eating Gluten Free. My sister and I don't have Celiac, but like many Auto-Immune Diseases, we both have the gene and could develop Celiac over time or with large amounts of stress. As any Celiac knows, its always easier when everyone eats Gluten Free, avoiding cross-contamination. We, like most others live that same way, with the exception of bread, cereal and cookies, which are for the "Gluten Eaters," contained in its own space.

I love to decorate cakes. Every cake to me, is a blank canvas, a white wall, a platform for a masterpiece. I find joy in creating something new, feeding my creative needs, and cake seems to be one of the ways for me to express it.

I am quiet and somewhat of a perfectionist.  I love movies, music and generally all "the arts," but what teenager doesn’t?

Because of my creative needs I created this blog, to show everyone what I love to do.

My mission: To show people that being a Celiac or eating Gluten Free is not the end of the world, but the beginning to a new way of living, that hundreds of people are joining every month.
